  MBC  COLLEGE: Examination  
 

INTERNAL/COLLEGE EXAMINATIONS
Apart from the examinations conducted by the concerned university, that is, Manipur University, the college conducts various examinations – Unit Test / Oral Test/ Terminal examinations etc. But these examinations have no credit to the Annual University Examinations.

UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS
The examination system adopted by the concerned university i.e. Manipur University for the promotion of students to the next class or for awarding degree to the students after completion of course is semester system.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION AND SUBJECTS TO BE OFFERED:

  • The Manipur University has introduced semester system in the undergraduate courses from the academic session 2010–11. The college strictly follows the guidelines provided by Manipur University regarding conduct of examinations from time to time.
  • There shall be 6 Semesters (Semester I – VI) during the three year course. In semester I and II, a student has to offer General English or MIL and 3 Elective Papers. Each paper       will carry 100 marks and             shall be evaluated at    the end of the semester Examination. The examination of a paper will be 3 hours duration. The pattern for Semester III and IV shall be as per University Ordinance.
  • Honours shall have to be offered only in Semester V and VI. The Honours Subjects should be one of the       Elective Subjects offered in the previous Semester. It shall have three papers of 100 marks each in a Semester. The pattern for Semester V and VI shall be as per University Ordinance.

ATTENDANCE:

  • 75% attendance is strictly adhered to for a student to be treated as a regular student. A student who has not attended 75% of the lectures shall not be allowed to appear for the university examinations.
